Chapter 44

We got to school about 10 minutes later. Josh was already there. I pretended I hadn't noticed him but Ryan and Jon had already started to walk over. Instead of making it obvious something was going on, i followed them.

"Hey Josh!" :Ryan playfully punching him on the arm.

"...Hi Ryan?" :Josh rubbing his arm.

"How come you weren't at the bus stop this morning?" :me making conversation.

"Cause... anyway Ryan dya know what time it is?" :Josh noticing Ryan's watch.

"Err yea... it's about half 9. why?" :Ryan looking at his watch,

"Oh, just wondered. Rialle can we talk please?" :Josh grabbing my arm and taking me to a corner.

"Err... yea sure" :me being dragged by the arm.

"Look I just wanna ask one more time. Have you been sleeping with Eddy?":Josh still not 100% sure of who to believe, me or Hayley?

"Josh... i explained yesterday. No I have NOt been sleeping with Eddy... look you can even ask eddy now... looks he's here" :me pointing to eddy to come over. I kept a calm tone in my voice... shouting or screaming wasn't going to resolve this issue.

"Eddy... can I ask you something?":Josh looking deep into his eyes.

"Yea sure..." :Eddy side glancing at me to kinda ask what the hell was going on.

"Have you two been sleeping together?" :Josh straight to the point.

"No! are you mentally challenged?!" :Eddy looking disgusted.

"Well I've heard you two have been at it like rabbits behind my back and I just wanted to make sure... You know Rialle pulled the exact same face when I asked her... didn't you rialle?" :Josh with almost sarcasm in his voice.

"Well that's probably because it's unthinkable, disgusting and just down right wrong. How could you believe some silly rhumours instead of your own girlfriend and best mate? You've lost it... I swear down Josh. I can't believe you even had to ask" :eddy still shocked.

"That's similar to what i said to him but he still isn't listening" :me feeling like i should just give up.

"Well you can't blame me for asking!!! You two have been getting rather close lately. All you talk about to Andrew is Rialle and all you talk about is Eddy to everyone!" :Josh pointing to each of us. It was all true what he was saying so it was going to be rather awkward and difficult to deny everything.

"We've been getting close so it would be easier for you!!" :me beginning to yell due to frustration.

"That's rich coming from you! Do you actually think I'm going to believe that bullshit?" :Josh

"It's not bullshit!! If me and eddy were friends it would be less awkward and difficult for you when there would be a group of us!" :me walking off.

"She is right you know Josh. We're friends and that's as far as it goes. I'm your best friend, you should have at least trusted me at least. I would never even think of doing something like that" :Eddy walking off aswell.

I knew all what Eddy was saying was true, but I couldn't help but feel guilty. Everything Josh had been saying was partly true. The only reason we stopped the affair was because Josh's mum caught us and told us to stop. If it hadn't been for her, we would still be seeing each other. Everything Josh had said was true, except the sleeping together part. How could Hayley have done this to me? She had become a backstabber all of a sudden. I walked over to the corner where the others were. I wiped my eyes so no one could tell I was about to burst into tears.

[Back with Josh]

Hayley came from around the corner. She had been watching everything. She came over and wrapper her arms round Josh.

"It'll get better I promise!" :Hayley holding him.

"Well; it can't get worse I suppose, did she do it Hayley and tell me honestly?" :Josh moving away.

"Look I told you they had, didn't I?" :Hayley :"Why would I lie to you Josh, I have no reason to"

"Well Rialle said something about you being jealous of us, but ... for some reason I find that hard to believe.

"Jealous!? OMG that is so funny!! What would I be jealous of? And she's the idiot for letting you go... doesn't she know what she has infront of her already?" :Hayley looking too deep into his eyes.

"You're just saying tha - " :Josh being cut off. Hayley was kissing him!

Josh didn't move away. I came around the corner, I had had enough of the others talking about Fall Out Boy again.They stood there in the middle of the yard, kissing. They both had their eyes closed, emphasising the passion. I stormed off. I thought it would be better to get them back later instead of humiliating myself aswell. I passed Eddy on my way out of school.

"Rialle...? What's the matter?" :Eddy pulling on my arm so I couldn't go any further.

"Hayley... She's... she's... look at them!" :me dragging Eddy to where they were. They were still glued to each other's faces. :"How can he say anthing about us being close... when he's like that with one of my so-called best mates!"

"Look just leave him. If he wants it like that then so be it. We still have each other and you did cheat on him as well. O.k not to the extent which he was told... but we're lucky that his mum has kept her mouth shut" :Eddy letting go of my arm.

"But how can he criticise us for being close... Look at them!!" :me storming over. I got half way there until Eddy had realised hand had dragged me back.

"Just leave it Rialle. He obviously doesn't care anymore" :Eddy

"Why would he believe her over me?! She has no link to him what-so-ever... apart from now 'cause they're linked at the mouth. They've been like that for ages now! breath for god sake!" :me watching them. It wasn't in a pervish way but that was my boyfriend and my best friend...

Eddy took me home and then went home as well. I signed on msn, ignoring my mum on the way who asked me why I was home so early. Eddy was already online, so I clicked on him.

'Hey... you got home quick lol' :me

'lol yea... are you ok now?' :Eddy

'Yea i'm fine... just still can't believe it... I HATE HER!!' :me

'I'm sure you do Rialle but you need to calm down... stress isn't what you need right now' :Eddy

'No what I don't need right now is my boyfriend and my friend kissing in the middle of our school yard... talk about making it obivous... she doesn't even like him that so why is she doing it?' :me

'I have no idea... maybe it is just jealousy... which definately needs controlling' :Eddy making me laugh again.

'lol hell yea... I don't even know what her problem is' :me

'Look just talk to him tomorrow' :Eddy

'What's the point... all we do is argue lately. I just don't see the point. This relationship was just doomed from the start. I should be with Ryan right now... I would have never have gotten into this mess' :me

'But then you wouldn't have met me...' :Eddy

'Maybe that is the way it should have been...' :me not realising what I was typing.

Eddy is now offline...

'You could have said bye you know...' :me leaving an offline message.

'I had no idea what to do next... all we actually did was argue and I couldn't be arsed anymore. I decided to go back to school. It was round about dinner time by the time I had got there. I went to the corner where we hung out.

"Hey Robz...":me walking over to her.

"Hey ... where were you in French? I was on my own all lesson!!" :Robyn skitzing out.

"Sorry I had to be somewhere" :me

"Welll you owe me big time for that missy!":Robyn sitting down on the bench.

"Hey have you seen Josh or Hayley anywhere today?" :me curious.

"Err... no actually" :Robyn looking around the corner.

"I wonder why..." :me subtly.

Robyn looked at me confused slightly. Hayley came round the corner. I jogged over to her. I placed my hand on her collar bone. I pushed her back and slammed her onto the wall behind.

"How dare you?!" :me snarling at her.

"Wha...what?" :hayley almost shaking. She obviously didn't know I had seen her and Josh.

"You know damn well girly so don't give me the all sweet and innocent shit!" :me quietly but nastily.

"I don't know I swear!!" :Hayley.

"You and Josh... this morning" :me

"Oh that..." :Hayley smirking. It felt as though she had me and josh exactly where she needed us.

"What is your problem Hayley?" :me thrusting my head forward to scare her and try and wipe off the smirk.

"You are Rialle. You have everything and for once in my life I wanted it all. Well now I have... Josh is so mine Rialle and guess what... you ain;t having him back either" :Hayley. i leant backwards and swung my fist at her face. 'SMACK'

"...bye" :me whispering under my breath. I watched him walk into the classroom and close the door. I stood there unknowing what the hell to do next.

Chapter 43

"i'm sorry Josh... but it is true":me

"Are you sure? I mean she wouldn't... are you sure?" :Josh repeating himself.

"Yea I'm sure and I saw her for myself so I do know it's true. Look just talk to her. Don't expect her to admit it though" :me looking around looking for Rialle.

"You're right... I should just talk to her..." :Josh turned around just as Rialle came round the corner, :"Hry Rialle... Can I talk to you?" 

"Err... yea sure" :Rialle looking slightly worried. She looked straight at me and walked over to give Josh a kiss. He moved his cheek out of the way making Rialle look stupid.

"Look... I'm going to go now and leave you two now. See ya Josh" :me walking off lifting my hand up to Josh.

[Rialle's p.o.v]

"What's up Josh?" :me worrying slightly. I pulled back my face and watched Hayley leave. She had changed so much lately.

"Hayley told me something today... and... I don't really know how to ask this..." :Josh alost in tears. His head was constantly turned the other way.

"Just ask me Josh. I'm sure it's not that bad" :me worrying alot and trying to calm him down.

"She said-" :Josh taking deep breaths :"-she said you have been sleeping with Eddy"

"WHAT!!??" :me not believing this at all. How could that bitch lie to Josh.

"Rialle... is it true? -i mean you have been getting close to him lately and you never stop talking about him... it's getting kinda annoying to be honest" :Josh starting to believe it with what he was saying.

"How could you even ask that?! of course I've not been sleeping with him! That's just grose and ...just... down right wrong!" :me almost in tears.

"... you know... she said you would deny it" :Josh looking deep into my eyes. I could tell he believed Hayley alot more than me.

"What?! Of course I'm going to say I've not been sleeping with him!! i haven't been sleeping with him!!!" :me.

"Rialle... i know when you're lying and right now it seems that you are lying to me. Why would Hayley say that about you and Eddy" :Josh

"She would! She's jealous!!" :me furious

"What has she got to be jealous of?!" :Josh still not believing me.

"Us! She did the same thing with becky and tom! She wants a boyfriend and she knows she's got no chance with tom so I guess she's going after you" :me in tears.

"Hayley likes me?! You've got to be mental? " :Josh laughing

"No i didn't mean that. shes got no chance of splitting up Becky and Tom so she's started on us... Please don't believe her lies Josh. You know how much I love you" :me

"Obviously I don't Rialle... or maybe you just love Eddy that little bit more" :Josh going to turn away.

"how could you say that?" :me pulling on his arm to prevent him from leaving.

"Easily - obviously. Rialle... everything just seems to add up at the moment. You're always talking about him... you sit next to him at the cinemas - both times, you always walk inbetween me and Eddy to make it not so obvious." :Josh

"Josh!! -" :me kind of speechless. Everything he has said was true... but how could i explain all that and try and deny sleeping with him. I knew me and Eddy had a 'fling' but it didn't go to that stage - nowhere near and Hayley wouldn't have known anyway.

"What Rialle? Tell me it isn't true and maybe, just maybe i'll believe you" :Josh

"It isn't true!! You have to believe me!" :me pulling on his arm as he tried to leave again.

"I'm sorry Rialle... It feels like a lie - what you're saying" :Josh looking down. Even tears appeared from his eyes.

"I thought you sais you would believe me?" :me

"I'm sorry... I lied. You should know how that feels now" :Josh turning away and leaving. I stood there, watching him disappear; tears streaming down my face. I fell to my knees. How could she have done this to me. My life was already such a mess and that just felt like the cherry on top.

[Next morning]

"Hey Rialle! Get up! Time for school" :mum yelling upstairs. The smell of bacon sandwich wafted upstairs.

"Right-" :me staying in bed not moving.

"RIALLE!!!" :me screaming.

"ALL   RIGHT! jeeeeeeesus woman!" :me screaming back. I climbed down my bunk bed. I got down and kicked the washing basket over to the other side. I leant over to the other side trying to find my uniform. I pulled my clothes on.

"Right come on" :mum bringing a plate over.

"What is that?" :me dirty looking the plate of bacon sandwiches.

"Your breakfast. What do you think it is? Now eat" :mum bring her plate over. I looked over at her and pulled a face.

"i'm not eating that" :me pushing the plate away.

"Look we've been through this a million times before! now please just try and eat some of it. Please?" :mum taking a bite from hers.

"No! You know i don't eat before 3 o'clock so why bother? And look at the grease and fat on it. it's disgusting! How could you put that in your body? It's torture." :me saying anything so I didn't have to eat it. i went out of the room to finish getting ready.

I stormed out of the house and walked to the bus stop.

"Hey Rialle" :Ryan and Jon.

"Hey... where's Josh?" :me looking around noticing he wasn't there.

"I don't know. I don't think he's in today" :Ryan

"But he was fine yesterday" :Jon

"Yea i know... Oh yea... i remembered he phoned me yesterday to tell e he weren't coming in... Dentist appointment i think" :me thinking of anything so they wouldn't ask any questions.

"Oh... well can't argue with that" :Ryan getting on the bus.

"Nope" :me taking a deep breatj, following Jon on the bus.

Chapter 43

I daren't look back at him. I knew I loved him but I was right... it wouldn't have worked and Josh didn't deserve any of it.

I went home and just got in as it started to rain.

"Hey Rialle. Where've you been?" :mum coming in from doing the washing up in the kitchen.

"Err... I've just been out with friends. Why?" :me dreading if there was any more bad news I should know about.

"Oh.No reason but it would..." :mum dragging on so i started walking off upstairs. :"be nice if I knew where you were once in a..."

I didn't the last bit through slamming my door so I couldn't hear her. I hope I had done the right thing. Tomorrow was going to be difficult... unless Eddy weren't in.

[Next day at school]

"Hey guys" :me walking up to everyone in the grass area.

"Hey Libs" :Becky rushing over to give me a hug. Robyn was still ignoring me.

"Err... Robyn. Can I talk to you for a minute?" :me pulling at her arm.

"Yea... what is it?" :Robyn in a huff.

"Just to let you know... I've broke it off with Eddy." :me hoping and praying she would forgive me.

"Well about time. I still don't know how you could throw away a relationship like your and Josh's. And all for his best friend" :Robyn

"Well... I kinda had no choice. Eddy wanted to tell Josh and... well Josh's mum kinda saw us at the pictures." :me holding my head in shame :"But I know I did the right thing and I should have listened to you in the first place."

"Yes... I know that cuz I'm a pure genius" :Robyn trying not to laugh, herself.

We laughed and hugged each other, returning to the others. Ian and Hayley were just coming up to us now.

"Well I take it it's official then?" :Chloe looking at them.

"What dya mean official?" :Hayley looking at her like a total freak.

"We all saw you leave with each other at the funeral" :Chloe watching Ian's face go red.

"Wha... wha... what are you going on about?" :Ian trying to get off the subject.

"Don't lie! We were looking for you for ages. Me and Robyn!" :Chloe laughing at them.

"Don't lie Ian... She knows all about what we did..." :Hayley with a smug face.

"Excuse me!?" :Robyn turning her head around quickly, facing Hayley.

"Yes well... that shed was the most comfortable and you don't get a chance like that every day. We made the most of it. Didn't we Ian?" :Hayley elbowing him. Ian looked aboslutely petrified and slightly shuffled away.

"Err... Hayley we didn't wanna know thanks." :Chloe pulling a face. I turned around in disgust and kept an eye out for Josh. I was kinda hoping Eddy wouldn't be in, so things were less awkward.

Hayley still stood there beaming and smug. She seemed quite proud of the fact that she had been with Ian a couple of weeks, and had had Gerard after her, and Becky and tom had been going out for ages and hadn't gone as far as her. But when a lad likes Hayley, it's like a pure miracle so she would have to had move so quickly, so she wouldn't lose him.

Josh came round the corner... with Eddy. They were laughing and joking like normal. It was probably the best site in ages. I ran up to Josh giving him a hug and a long kiss. Eddy acted as normal anf walked off in a huff. Not through jealousy but 'oh god... they're at it again'. We stopped kissing and walked over holding hands. All who was left to come was Ryan and Brendon who were always usually late. We all sat on the circular benches all squiched on apart from Hayley and Ian who chose to stand up.

"Come on! Move up!! my arse ain't that small! jeeeeeeeeeesus!" :me telling Eddy to move over.

Everybody on the bench scooched over a little. There was only room for either me or Josh. So Josh sat down so I could sit on his knee. He had his arms round me with his hands holding mine. Tom and Becky were making faces at each other to see who could pull the saddest face. Hayley looked over and got a bit so turned to face Ian and started gouging into his face. Ian pushed her away and walked off, petrified.

"Woo... Ryan and Brendon are finally here!" :Chloe as her and Robyn ran off to hug them. Following Ryan and Brendon was Gerard. Hayley turned her head and a sparkle lit up in her eye.

"Gerard!! I've not seen you in ages!" :Hayley yelling and started to walk over.

"Yea right back at ya! Hey... have you seen... what's his face? errr Ian lately?" :Gerard with a half smile.

"Err no... nope... no I haven't" :Hayley lying, fluttering her eye lashes slowly at him. Gerard's face lit up. We hadn't heard the conversation so no one could have told him the truth.

"Oh well... that's good to know!" :Gerard kissing Hayley on the cheek. Gerard turned around to see where Ryan and Brendon had got to. Hayley turned, facing us lifting her arm up, then down whispering loudly, "Yes".

She pulled her face straight when Gerard turned around. We all looked at her in disgust and pure shock.

We all turned around and continued what we were doing. Even Becky and Tom noticed something was wrong.

Chloe, Brendon, Robyn and Ryan all joined us back on the benches. Gerard seemed to be pleased... Hayley got a bit lonely because no one was talking to her so decided to 'go with' Gerard right infront of us.

"Err... Hayley do you have to?" :Eddy even getting a little bit freaked out. Andrew and Ashley came from round the corner laughing as usual. You daren't ask with their conversations... most are dirty minded and sick.

"O...k I don't wanna know what you 2 are talking about" :me laughing.

"Aww... why not? Can't I ask?" :Josh pulling a sad face.

"Yea later" :me turning around and kissing him quickly. One of the deputy heads were about due to the fact that the walkie-talkie was really loud. If she knew that you were in a couple, she would stalk you for the rest of eternity.

The school bell went. We all hugged each other. We all avoided Hayley as her goodbye with Gerard lasted quite a while.

However, I'm in the same form as Hayley so had no choice but to wait for her with Chloe.

"Dya think they can go on for much longer?" :Chloe looking at them both, then at me.

"Well they'll have to come up for air at some point." :me rolling my eyes and folding my arms.

"Shall we just go? She can find her own way there" :Chloe turning around. I followed on to form. Hayley turned up 20 minutes for form.

"Well...someone enjoyed this morning didn't they?" :me looking at Hayley.

"Well... Why are you jealous?" :Hayley smugly.

"Why would I be jealous of you and Gerard...? i've got James like 24/7 if I wanted" :me 'bursting her bubble'. Her face dropped and Chloe couldn't stop laughing at the side.

"Well I have both Ian AND Gerard! Who else have you got?!" :Hayley trying to be the best again.

"Wow! calm down Hayley Rialle was just saying...!":Chloe gobsmacked.

"Oh I'll tell who else I've got... EDDY!!" :me... [shit... what had i just done?]

"What?!" :Hayley with an even bigger sparkle. :"You and Eddy who would have thought of it eh?"

"...Rialle!!" :Chloe gasping.

"You wish you had Eddy!" :Hayley smug. She knew I could have Eddy at any time of the day if I wanted... so all this was just to wind me up.

"That's what you think... but I personally beg to differ":me

"Well... well... well... does Josh know about this... little... hmm what do oyu call it? affair?" :Hayley still sitting there smugly.

"There's nothing to tell or anything going on between us... but I do know he loves me." :me

"Are you sure about that?!" :Hayley thinking she knows it all again.

"Yea... besides what's it gotta do with you?!" :me getting ready to hit her. i looked at her sitting there so smugly. She wasn't even the smartest out of us all. 

The bell rang and we all got up and left. Luckily Hayley weren't in any of my lessons. I walked off to get away from her.

"See ya later then" :hayley chukling to herself expecting Chloe to follow like a sheep but didn't. Instead Chloe looked at her in total disgust.

Now i knew what Rialle had been up to I could use that against her. I mean who does she think she is with all these lads after her. First Ryan and she really hurt Robyn through that, next Tylor... but she got what she deserved with him; then Josh and now Eddy. My my my... haven't we been a naughty girl! Well her world is just about to turn up side down... She's gona get a taste of her own nasty medicine.

"Hey Josh" :me as I walked past him in the corridor. I smiled at him, waving my hand slightly. It was subtly andhe was on his own so no one else would see me.

"Hey Hayley! Wait up" :Gerard catching up to me :"Where ya going?"

"Graphics... you know my normal lesson frst thngs on Wednesdays?" :me expecting him to know this already.

"Oh. Can I walk you there?" :Gerard taking hold of my hand. I didn't mind, I know we're not going out but it got people talking about us... and I'm an attention seeker so I don't mind.

Gerard walked me to class and kissed me on the cheek as he went to his lesson finally. I liked him but sometimes he really did my head in. I was only with him because no one else wanted me.

I was let out really early from the lesson before dinner. I walked out and Josh was already there. ...Perfect. I sat down next to him putting my hand on his leg. He dirty looked it pushing me away quickly.

"Josh... What's the matter?" :me shuffling up closer :"Don't you want me aswell?"

"Hayley... you know I'm with Rialle? You know you're friend" :Josh scared stiff.

"Well... she obviously doesn't love you as you think she does..." :me making him think.

"What do you mean?" :Josh confused. [Perfect]

"Well... she's been sleeping with someone else behind your back" :me. i had him right where I needed him.

"WHAT!! No she wouldn't! Who the hell with?" :Josh

"I'd tell you but it would hurt you too much and that's unfair, You don't deserve it or her." :me knowing he was hurting.

"Just cut the crap and tell me Hayley... if it's true and he exists" :Josh still unsure of whether to believe me.

"o..k then" me taking my time and dragging it out. i could hear Rialle's voice in the distance :"Eddy!"

"What?!":Josh yelling down my ear.

Chapter 42

"What are you sure?" :Eddy looking around. I pushed his head down before he could see.

"What are you doing?" :me whispering loudly.

"What?! I was just seeing if I could see him. He won't know we're here so why would he even think to look for us?" :Eddy

"I know but I can't take that risk... can we just go?" :me slowly reaching for my stuff.

"No we can't! We've already paid and we were here first. We can't hide forever" :Eddy

"I know but I did blow him off to be here with you... which doesn't really help the situation. Can we just go?" :me

"No we are watching the film, now don't start shouting or he will hear us" :Eddy

"Fine then... but if this happens again we are leaving!" :me

"But if we do that... we'll just draw attention to ourselves because we're leaving" :Eddy

We managed it out of the cinema well. Now we had to make it out of the front without him noticing us.

Becky and Tom were just going into watch a film.

"Rialle!!" Becky running over to hug me.

"Becky..." :me afraid if Josh had heard her but he hadn't luckily.

"Is that Eddy...?" : Tom whispering to me. they hadn't really seen that much of each other so he was a bit unsure still.

"Yep. Why?" :me

"Err... Hi Eddy" :Tom trying to force a smile.

"Hi..." :Eddy to Tom. He then turned to me :"Is that that 'Angel' dude?"

"Yep" :me whospering back.

"What have you just watched?" :Becky dragging on the conversation. I looked over to the shop Josh was in. His mum was already walking out of the shop so I moved the conversation on quickly.

"Norbit... yea we're going to have to go now becky... hope you enjoy you're film" :me hugging her quickly and dragging Eddy away.

Becky and Tom watched us leave wondering what they had done wrong.

"That was way too close!" :me stopping and beathing from walking too fast.

"Not really... we're safe now aren't we?" :Eddy

"That's not the point! What if his mum had have seen us? That wouldn't have gone very well." :me

"...I'll be back in a minute. Just need the toilet" :woman coming down the stairs where we had just come from.

"...that sounds like Josh's mum.." :me watching the stairs very carefully. It was her...

"Sugar..! run" :Eddy quietly grabbing my arm and pulling me.

"Wait!" :Josh's mum still walking at the same pace. I stood rooted unsure of what to do.

"Now now now. What have we here?" :Josh's mum looking at us both.

"Err... what do you mean?" :me shaking.

"I saw you both in the pictures... luckily Josh didn't and that's the way it's going to stay. This little affair will stop now. You will act as normal Rialle as though nothing has gone on. Eddy you will stay away from Rialle and only see Josh when Rialle isn't there. Now I have to go back and be with my son... your boyfriend and your best friend. I suggest you think about that" :Josh's mum turning around and walking off.

"Why?!" :Eddy watching her leave. I stayed rooted to the spot.

"Because... I don't want to see my son get hurt. And because I said so" :Josh's mum carrying on walking. A single tear fell from Eddy's face.

"What's the matter?" :me with my hands on his hips, facing him.

"How can she even think I can't see you? I love you Rialle, and if that means we have to tell him to be with each other and hurt him... then be it" :Eddy walking after Josh's mum who had now disappeared out of sight.

"EDDY!! Wait! She's right... Josh doesn't deserve this and after everything he's done for the both of us... " :me starting to cry. Eddy had wiped his face so you could hardly tell he'd been crying.

"Us!! We deserve each other Rialle! Why should we have to hide what we feel between each other?" :Eddy walking over and kissing me, But I stopped it.

"I'm sorry Eddy but his mum's right... And I didn't feel anything. I was just... using you" :me crying inside so much. I could hardly look at his face which was full of hurt.

"No you don't mean that!" :Eddy pulling away.

"Don't I!! I'm sorry Eddy I was just using you. Nothing could ever have gone on between us!" :me walking off. I could tell he was watching me leave. More tears appeared, streaming down his face.

Chapter 41

It had been a week since the funeral and since I had seen Eddy or Josh.

I picked up my phone - unknown number.

"Hello...?" :me

"Rialle? Hey it's Josh, I wanna see you. Sorry I didn't go to the funeral" :Josh

"No problem. It went well" :Me

"What else happened? Anything I should know about?" :Josh

"Err no why? Who's said anything?" :Me worried.

"No calm down. I was just asking, chill Rialle" :Josh laughing and thinking nothin of it.

"Sorry, I've not been wtih it lately-" :Me rubbing my head.

"What with the funeral?" :Josh

"N-yea" :Me changing my mind quickly :"It's been tough the past few weeks"

"I bet! Anyway meet me in half an hour on park" :Josh

"O.k might be a bit late":me really not wanting to go.

"Right see ya then muah love you!" :Josh hanging up.

"Yea... bye" :me moving the phone and throwing it on the couch.

♪Prescribe pills to off-♪

"Hello" :Me answering.

"Hey it's Eddy" :Eddy

"oh hi... hows you?" :me

"I'm fine. I haven't seen you in a while though. So I was wondering if you wanted to meet up. We could go watch a film if you want?" :Eddy

"Yea that sounds awesome. I tell you what does sound good-that Norbit" :Me excited.

"Yea. Well meet me in half an hour" :Eddy

"Where?" :me eager and excited

"On park" :Eddy. I thought for a secon, shouldn't I be on the park anyway in half an hour?.

"Yea. See you soon muah" :Me hanging up.

I ran upstairs and changed. I grabbed my purse.

I sat down on a bench waiting for Eddy.

"Rialle? Is that you?" :Josh coming round the corner.

"Josh, what are you doing here?" :Me confused.

"You were supposed to be meeting me here. Remember?" :Josh laughing.

"... oh yea..." :Me still confused. I saw Eddy in the far corner. I looked at him but acted as though nothing was going on.

"So... what do you wanna do?" :Josh

"I don't know..." :me not paying attention. Josh stood there staring at me as though he was waiting for something.

"What are you looking at?" :Josh peering over the hedges.

"Err... nothing!" :me kissing Josh so he couldn't see. I kept a close eye on Eddy who was watching me. I kept my eyes open so he knew he didn't anything and that I would rather look at him. Eddy looked down and took something out of his pocket.

"Hello..?" :me knowing it was Eddy. I walked off with the phone away from Josh.

"Hey... what is he doing here?" :Eddy sounding pretty pissed off.

"Hey mum. what's that?" :me loudly so Josh could hear.

"huh? what? This ain't your mum?" :Eddy sounding really scared and confused.

"What? I'm with Josh on the park" :me

"Rialle...? who are you talking t-- Oh i get ya" :eddy

"What seriously? Do I have to come home right now?" :me sounding really down :"O.k mum be there in 5 minutes... meet you outside school in 10 minutes."

I closed my phone and walked back over to Josh.

"I take it you have to go?" :Josh sad.

"Yep I'm sorry bout this... but it sounds pretty urgent too" :me

"Well see you tomorrow then if you're not doing anything" :Josh kissing me.

"Yep will do" :me breaking the kiss kinda early.

I walked off not looking back once. I reached outside of school to be greeted by Eddy.

"Rialle!" :Eddy running over to me.

"Finally... I am so sorry bout that thing with Josh I had no idea he would be there" :me kissing him back.

"Hmm! I thought he'd never leave. He seemed pretty depressed when you left though" :Eddy

"I know... I feel really guilty but I wanted to see you more today" :me kissing him again

We caught a bus to the cinemas. We walked into the film and walked up the stairs to about the middle row. We walked down to the centre. 10 minutes later 15 people from my school walked in and sat in the row behind us.

"Shit!" :me trying to hide my face. They were also Josh's friends which wouldn't go down well if they saw me.

"Whats up?" :Eddy

"Kiss me!" :me

"What?" :eddy

"Just kiss me! I'll explain later." Me kissing Eddy to hide my face. We were kissing for ages. I didn't break it until I was desperate for air; partly because I was enjoying it and 2) I had to be 100% sure they hadn't noticed me.

I put my arm on the arm and was pushed off by Eddy who was giggling at the side.

"Thanks..." :me pushing my arm back on. Eddy giggled and pretended he was really into the film. In the end we just settled with him having his arm on my elbow. His arm was warm and I was cold so I didn't mind so much. I looked randomly around the room and noticed Josh was in the first row with his family.

"Shit!" :me burying my face into Eddy.

"What is it?" :Eddy

"Josh is here. Look!" :me pointing to him.

Chapter 40

"Right - Everyone ready?" :Me standing ultra still, looking at everyone in turn. In the room there was me, Robyn, Chloe, Hayley, Eddy, Becky, Tom, Brendon, Spencer and John. Chloe had been avoiding Pete and Brendon all day and she was standing inbetween Robyn and Hayley. Everyone stayed silent thinking about what had happened and my question. I looked up at them - mainly in black. It was strange to see us all in such dark colours - but at this time we were all in appropriate colours. The funeral would take place in half an hour. Eddy's mum came down the stairs with Liam's mum. She had a scrunched up tissue in her hand. Her eyes were puffy and bright red.

"Hi mrs Johnson":Robyn finally speaking.

"Is everyone ready?" :Eddy's mum with her arm around mrs Johnson.

"Err yea. I think so Mrs Wu" :Me pulling my coat around me.

"Where's Josh, Rialle?" :Brendon

"Err - He's not coming to the funeral" :Me half ashamed.

"Oh --" :brendon shutting up.

We all walked over to the cars. Brendon, Ryan, Spencer and John went in Ryan's mercedes. Robyn, Hayley and Chloe went in Hayley's mum's car. Me, Eddy, Mrs Wu and Mrs Johnson went in Mrs Wu's car. Mrs Johnson was in no fit state to drive anywhere.

"So why isn't Josh coming to the funeral?" :Eddy whispering trying not to break the silence.

"I don't know but I hope he'll turn up later. I need someone there" :me looking out of the window - hoping to see Josh.

"Well you've always got me..." :Eddy putting his hand in mine. I turned around and smiled at him for 2 seconds and returned to the window.

We arrived at the church and got out really slowly. Mrs Johnson slamming the door behind in anger. Pete was already there at the church. Hayley's car pulled up. Pete opened the door for Chloe but was completely ignored and Chloe got out the other side. We all walked towards each other in a huddle watching cars drive up. Most of Liam's family had turned up. Mrs Johnson and Mrs Wu left us, to say hello to the other members; constantly carrying the tissue. Half an hour later a tall, middle ages priest came out.

"We are ready for you Mrs Johnson" :priest bowing and walking back in. Mr johnson stood behind her with his hand on her shoulder.

"Everything is going to be alright" :Mr Johnson.

Hayley, Robyn and Chloe all went in at the same time. Chloe made sure she was inbetween Hayley and Robyn. I looked around for somewhere to sit.

"Rialle! Hey Rialle over here" :Eddy waving his arm slightly in the air. I smiled and walked over. Robyn had been ignoring me all day because of the whole Eddy thing. I sat down picking up a book. Eddy sat there for 6 minutes watching me read.

"Eddy...?" :Me quietly

"What - Oops sorry" :Eddy turning quickly around.

About 1/4 way into the ceremony the church door at the back opened. Ian came through bobbing his head around to see if he could see Hayley.

Hayley's phone rang ♪Thanks for the memories even though they weren't so great♪. Everyone turned around to see who it was - however the priest still carried on talking.

"Sorry - I need to take this" :Hayley answering as quiet as she could.

"Hey - am at the back. Meet me in the church yard in 2 minutes. It's Ian by the way" :Ian whispering on the other side.

Hayley looked at Robyn and Chloe who looked slightly confused.

"I need to go to the toilet - back in a sec" :Hayley practically running off.

"Random" :Robyn shrugging her shoulder and turning back to the front.

[In the church yard]

Ian was already stood near a wall outside the church.

"Hayley" :Ian running over clutching her arm.

"What is it...?" :Hayley being cut off by Ian;s hand.

"Shh! Come with me" :Ian moving his hand from her face to her hand. They both ran around to the back of the church. there was a little garden shed in the far corner.

"What are we dong?" :Hayley excited.

"We need to get in there..." :Ian pointing to the shed.

"But we can't - ":Hayley being pulled. They made their way across the church garden. Ian stood on some of the flowers and fell on his arse.

"Come one!" :Hayley laughing, helping him up. Ian giggled and chased after Hayley till they were in the shed.

"Now w.." :Hayley being cut off by being kissed.

[Back at church]

"Where's Hayley?" :Robyn to Chloe in church. There was 5 minutes to go till the burial. After 5 minutes Hayley and Ian were still not back from the garden, Everyone had forgotten about them except Robyn and Chloe.

"Does anyone know where they are?" :Chloe looking around.

"Nope I've been asking everyone and no ones seen either of them" :Robyn

"Anyway... " :Chloe pausing to think :"Shall we just leave them? She would have probably already gone and be there bout time we're there"

"Yea" :Robyn nodding.

[On the way to the cars]

"Hey have you seen Eddy?" :me

"Nope sorry" :Mrs Johnson

"Erm I think he's gone to the car already" :Mrs Wu. I ran off to the car. Hardly anyone was there because they were just leaving.

"Eddy!" :me yelling but he didn't hear me. He sped up slightly. I started jogging faster to catch up.

"Rialle please go away" :Eddy trying to avoid looking at me

"What...? Why...?" :me confused.

"Well... Just answer me this?" :Eddyn said stopping to face me.

" - Do you like me?" :Eddy trying not to look at me directly.

"Yea you know I do" :me not getting the question.

"No! I didn't mean like that!" :Eddy getting frustrated

"Like wha... o" :me getting it finally.

"Yea - like like. Do you like like me?" :Eddy calming down.

"Why do you need to - " :me confused slightly

"RIALLE! - Just answer my question!" :Eddy with his hands on arms shaking me.

"Eddy! calm down" :me pausing trying to avoid the question.

"Yes I do like you, like like you." :me

"What...?" :Eddy with a sparkle in his eye.

"-But we can't, I can't. It's unfair to Josh. No Eddy we..." :me being kissed to shut up. It felt strange. No one was breaking the kiss and I didn't want to. It almost felt perfect. I knew I had to breath at some point so I pulled away. I had a smile on my face same as Eddy.

"You cannot say you didn't feel anything then" :Eddy putting on a serious face.

" - I did feel something and it was special. But" :me watching Eddy's face.

"But...?" :Eddy

"We can't Eddy, Josh is my boyfriend and your best friend. He doesn't deserve this" :me trying to believe what I was saying.

"But don't we deserve each other? Rialle I know what we would be doing is wrong but we love each other and that must count for something" :Eddy

"It does but -" :me trying to think of a reason; but I couldn't think of any.

"But- " :Eddy waiting

"but... but" :me :"nope I've got nothing"

"Good! come with me" :Eddy dragging me off round the church.

"Eddy stop a minute!" :me pulling back.

"What is it?" :Eddy

"Are you sure you wana do this?" :Me

"Well I;m sure I love you" :Eddy smiling. I looked at him a bit shocked and didn't know quite what to say.

"Well come on then!" :Eddy moving things on, breaking the awkward silence. I ran off still taken by what he'd said.

"Right where dya wanna go?" :Eddy looking around the street.

"Lets just go back to mine" :me looking in that direction.

"No go back to mine we definately know my mum's not there" :Eddy walking home holding my hand.

We arrived at his home 5 minutes of alking. We walked in taking out shoes off. He house was nicely decorated and a homely feel towards it. I sat down and sank in the puffy chair. Eddy fell backwards falling onto the chair next to me. I had my hands together on my legs. Eddy moved his hands and held mine. I turned, facing Eddy.

"Thankyou" :Eddy pausing

"What for?" :Me confuzzled.

"For giving us a try" :Eddy kissing me. The kiss broke and I pulled back.

"Well I'm not 100% sure this is what I want" :me

"Well, who are you with now?" :Eddy smiling.

"You but I don't know if I should be here and we should be doing this to him. It's not really fair to him" :me

"Well it's not really fair on us to hide our feelings" :Eddy being honest but expressing it wrong.

"True but-" :me pausing.

"but what? He's going to have to face it at some point. We love each other and you;re with me" :Eddy kissing me.

Why was he using that word again? love. It was such a strong word. I hadn't even liked him for that long, well not really. I felt really bad; especially on Josh. We had met through Josh and we were doing this to him. I didn't say a word back like 'I love you'. I didn't know how to put ut personally. I knew I must like him or else I wouldn't be with him right now, but that feeling of guilt sank further down into the pit of my stomach.

Chapter 39

"Liam!" :me screaming. I tried to push Brendon away but the room was that small it didn't make any difference.

"Oh-I see" :Liam looking at both of us.

"What do you want?" :Brendon

"Did you not get it when I said I needed to tell you something you stupid woman!?" :Liam screaming.

"Well, well...well... what are you going on about?" :me completely confused.

"OMG Chloe!! You ain't that slow - I like you!" :Liam screaming and going red in the face.

"O... Liam I...I" :me not really knowing what to say.

"Don't you dare say you didn't know!" :Liam screeching.

"How dare you be in here screaming at me! I didn't know" :Me stepping out of the room for air. Liam swung his arm around -- SLAP!

"...How dare you!" Brendon stepping out. I ran off to the toilets holding my face in pain.

Liam's p.o.v

How could she not know that I like her? There were so many times I let her know - o.k not verbally but I did make it obvious.

"how dare you?" :Brendon running off after Chloe.

How dare I? I'll let him know how dare I! I decided to go home after the closet situation. Chloe, Brendon and me would probably benefit.

"Hey honey... why are you home so early?" :Liam's mum.

"Oh something went on at school and we got sent hom early" :me

"Oh, okay then":Liam's mum.

"I'll be in my room if you need me" :me running upstairs. I laid down on my bed, face up staring at my ceiling. I had nothing else to do. I laid there thinking of what to do. i had lost Chloe and Brendon as friends - not to mention Josh as well.

"What the...?" :me jumping out of my skin.

'BANG!' - door

"Liam, it's for you I think" :Liam's mum

"K, who the hell is this?" :me opening the door. The next minute I was on the floor with a bust lip.

"How dare you Liam!" :Josh pretty angry.

"What now?!" :me

"You know what! all that sh*t you told me to do with Rialle and Eddy" :Josh rubbing his fist.

"Oh- You found out then..." :me

"Yep and no thanks to you. If it weren't for Eddy telling me everything, me and Rialle wouldn't still be together" :Josh calming down finally.

"Look Josh - I'm really sorry I don't even know why I did it" :me

"Look what's happened has happened - but don't you ever dare talk to me again" :Josh turning around and slamming the door.

"How dare I?" :me whispering to myself. I stared at the door to see if someone else was going to open it and hit me - that would be perfect right about now.

'BANG!' -- door opening and banging on the wall.

"Ow!" :me rubbing my knee.

"O... sorry Liam... why are you behind the door?... with a bust lip?" :Eddy

"Err... no reason. Why are you here anyway?" :me getting up.

"I've just come to say this; I've made up with Rialle but it's gona be hard to make up with Josh so it'll be better if I stopped hanging around with you. I'm still your mate..." :Eddy

"No you're not! You're just following Josh! You're like the rest of them - pathetic" :Liam spitting due to anger.

"Look I need to prove to Josh that his friendship is important and..." :Eddy wiping spit off his face.

"oh - so our friendship doesn't mean anything then?" :Liam

"Of course it does but I've been friends with him for alot longer - you know 11 years isn't just a day's worth" :Eddy

"I don't care anymore Eddy - you're a joke! If you're letting him tell you who to be friends with then you're more of an idiot than you look!" :Liam

"Hey! that's unfair! We've been friends alot longer than us - how dare you!" :Eddy

"Eddy, do me a favour? - Fuck off! Leave me alone" :Liam pushing Eddy out of the door.

"Gladly!" :eddy turning around and tripping down the door step. Eddy walked off down the path furious but hoping it was the right thing.

"...and err... don't come back... ever!" :Liam yelling down the street - half hoping he would turn around. Liam stayed at the door until he couldn't see Eddy anymore. Liam muttering to himself :"Right-" :stepping backwards into the hall. "That's it - I've had enough" :Grabbing his coat from the hook on the wall.

"Mum I'm going out," :Liam yelling to his mum. He stomped out heading for the marshes.

Everything was silent. No birds sang in the trees, no cars rushed by on the roads nearby. The wind blew without a sound, not even stirring the grass below.

"finally... somewhere quiet" :Liam falling to the ground on purpose. After a while he got up. Everything seemed to be too quiet. there was a rustling noise coming from the bushes behind. Liam got up and turned around, trying to see if anyone was there. The bushes moved again. There was hardly any wind so he knew someone must be in them.

"...hello...?" :Liam nervous

"I... I know you're in there..." :Liam creeping closer to the bushes.

"Hey! Who's this?" :a lad who had jumped out of the bush. Another lad followed with an evil grin on his face. Liam jumped back startled.

"Yea- what are you doing here?" :ad

"Err..." :Liam being cautious and still partly in shock.

"Answer me! ... I said answer me!" : The lad punching Liam in the gut. Liam fell to the floor in pain.

"Ow - what was that for?" :Liam trying to get his words out between deep breaths.

"... I duno but it felt good though" :lad

"Do it again! Do it again! Do it again Michael" : lad chanting loudly.

"No! don't do it again": Liam still in pain.

"give me one good reason why not to?" :Michael bending down near Liam.

"Err... cuz ..." :Liam being cut off.

"Nope - that's not a good enough reason for me. what do you think Steven?" :Michaael standing up and kicking him twice.

"Nope" :Steven grinning still.

"what the fuck?!" :Liam curling up into a ball.

"now, now no swearing":Michael kicking him again.

"That's where you are!" :another lad appearing from behind the bush.

"Hey John - Look what we've found!" :Steven pointing at Liam on the floor.

"haha - Look at him the wimp!" :John kicking Liam as well.

"Now now John play nicely with our new friend" :Michael.

"I'm not your..." :Liam being drowned out by a nearby train.

"You hear that lads?" :Michael pointing his hand up and shutting Liam up from continuing.

"yeaaa, that gives me an idea" :John smiling.

"Ste! Get him" :Michael looking down at Liam.

"Right then!" :Steven grabbing Liam's arms and pulling him up. Liam stumbled trying to get balance.

"Hey what you doing?" :Liam watching John and Michael walk through the bushes.

"You'll see..." :Michael

"Right- bring him over" :John pointing to Liam and Ste.

Liam was dragged through the bushes the lads had come from. There were a set of train tracks.

"where dya want him?" John grinning at Michael. Michael looked around scanning the tracks thinking of the perfect place.

"Erm- over there. Not too far, not too close." :Michael pointing to the tracks. John dragged Liam over in the centre of the tracks.

"Now don't move - or it'll hurt more" :Michael.

"You won't get away with this?" :Liam still trying to break free from John's grip.

"Why won't we?" :Michael starting to walk closer : "We're not gona say anything and you won't be able to"

[train noise]

"Sh*t! the train's here!" :John pushing Liam on the floor. Both he and Michael ran off back behind the bushes. Liam tried to move but his coat was stuck on a nail.

"HELP!" :Liam screaming at the top of his voice.

"I'm stuck! HELP! please help me -someone, anyone!" :Liam almost in tears.

The noise grew louder and nearer. Liam began to pull at his coat to pull free. Michael, steven and John were still at the side watching Liam struggle. Liam turned around facing them holding out an arm.

"Help me please" :Liam begging. Ste stepped forward to go and help but was pulled back by michael.

"No! we have to help him! We should have never have taken it this far!" :Steven shouting. The train crept closer.

"It's too late" :michael watching the train creep into view.

"But we have to try" :Steven facing Lian.

Liam had given up and trying to break free. Intead he lied there staring at the 3 lads at the side. He turned his head staring at the train in the face. A horn noise bellowed from inside...

chapter 38

"Rialle..." :Eddy came in knocking on the door.

"Eddy! I thought you weren't going to come." Me pleased to see him.

"Rialle, I meant what I said. I'm going now" :Robyn leaving.

"Yea... cya later" :me ignoring her.

"Dya want me to tell the others to come in?" :Robyn just at the door.

"Err, no thanks. I'm tired and I want a quick word with Eddy. bye" :me trying to Robyn out of the room.

"k then..." :Robyn sensing she knew no one wanted her there.

"What did you want?" :Eddy sitting next to me.

"Eddy, I've been thinking about what you did. That must have..." :me

"Look I'm sorry can we put this behind us? I really like you Rialle and now I know it's Josh you like" :Eddy

"Look, listen to me! What you did must have took guts. I mean all that just to prove that you love me?" :me smiling.

"Well I can tell you it weren't easy" :Eddy smiling back.

"If the circumstances were different - I would give us a chance. But they're not and I'm with Josh" :me placing my hand on his arm.

"But...£ :Eddy pausing to think :"If that is what you want... then i'm happy with that" trying to force a smile.

"...Eddy, I just want to say thanks, you know, for understanding. I do like you, but I'm with Josh" :me trying to explain. I knew I loved him, probably as much as Josh. I knew Rialle Robyn wouldn't be too happy about it.

"Look... if that's everything I'd better be going" :Eddy walking out wiping his face. Probably through crying but I couldn't see for sure.

Josh came back into the room. I had already lied down unexpecting him to walk back in. Josh came over and kissed me on the cheek and left.

   "What's going on?" :Robyn whispering outside.

   "She's asleep so we're better off leaving" :Josh

   "Where's Chloe?" :Brendon looking around.

   "Oh she went to get a mocha I think" :Hayley.

   "Oh... I'll catch up with her later" :Brendon walking off to where the coffee machine was.

Everyone else left the hospital. Robyn and Hayley were arguing if Robyn was allowed another mocha.

Chloe's p.o.v

I had gone to get a mocha and when I came back, no one was there.

"Hello...?" :me whispering loudly. :"Oh well, they've all left me! cheeky..." :me tuning around. Liam must have been looking for someone with him standing so close. We banged into each other which for once in that second made him see me.

"Oops sorry Chloe. I didn't see you there" :Liam

"It was my fault I wasn't looking" :me looking down at my feet. I noticed my mocha was on the floor.

"Oops... I dropped my mocha... silly me" :me bending down.

"No... I'll get that for you..." :Liam bending down - touching my hand.

"I can get it you know..." :me pulling my hand back.

"Chloe! I've found you finally" :Brendon jogging over out of breath.

I stood up quickly pulling my top down so it was straight. I noticed Liam dirty looking Brendon and rose slowly. He put his hands on his hips and refused to look over at Brendon.

"Hey Brendon - what's up?" :me ignoring Liam.

"err... I need to talk to you for a minute... privately" :Brendon throwing a side glance at Liam but still facing me.

"ooooh yea well I gotsta go Liam - cya later" :me walking off. Liam quickly spun his head round watching us leave.

At school Liam wouldn't leave me alone. He had swipped lockers with a 7th grader so he was across the corridor from mine. I stood next to my locker sorting out my hair.

"Hey Chloe! What ya doin?" :Liam walking over.

"Sorting out my hair...?" :me confused of why he was asking a daft question. I closed my locker and jumped back. Liam was really close to my locker leaning against the one next to mine.

"Oh did I scare you?" :Liam standing upright. He had a panick tone as he spoke.

"Nooooo, just startled me a bit" :me looking at him like a freak.

"Oh sorry Chloe I didn't mean to" :Liam

"i'll live you know - I've been through worse" :me walking off to lesson.

"can I walk you to lesson you know to make up for it?" :Liam following me.

"I can find my own way to lesson" :me speeding up slightly.

"I know...but..." :Liam not getting the hint.

"Chloe!" :brendon running over and stoping when he saw Liam.

"Brendon - thankgod" :me giving thanks he was here.

"yea we gotta go err.... go do something... cya" :Brendon grabbing my arm, stuttering as he spoke. Liam threw us a dirty look and watched us run almost to class.

Dinner came Liam ran over to my table and sat next to me. I was the first one there so I was on my own.

"Hey Chloe... eating alone?" :Liam scanning the table.

"Err... no..." :me being ignored and cut off.

"Well, I can eat with you" :Liam getting out his lunch :"I have something to tell you as well"

"Oh look it's Rialle and Josh" :me waving my arm so they could see us.

"Chloe I need to tell you something and it's urgent so meet me in 5 minutes at the benches." :Liam getting up as Rialle and Josh sat down.

"What was that all about?" :Josh looking at Liam walking off.

"Oh I don't know" :me. I felt a movement in my pokcet - it was my phone. I flipped it open and read the text from Brendon.

"Chloe I wanna see you. meet me in 5 minutes"

I sent him one back smiling saying o.k. I giggled and had a dirty grin on my face, forgetting all about Liam.

I went to find Brendon straight away. I walked into the main building looking for Brendon. He hadn't told me where to meet him.

"Woah!" :me being pulled in the janitors closet in the wall.

"Chloe... shh!" :brendon kissing me to make sure I didn't scream. He moved his head away. I smiled and looked straight into his eyes.

20 minutes later we were still in the closet, kissing.

"... Did you hear that?" :me pulling away for a minute.

"no" :Brendon kissing my neck. The door handle turned and someone was stood outside.

"now you couldn't miss that Brendon" :me pushing him away. It was a tiny closet so we couldn't hide anywhere.

The door opened.

chapter 37

"Oh, it's my choice... You know I would sooner chose something else." :Me pretty pi**ed off.

"Well, if you want I could bring Josh here" :man

"NO! please no" :me begging almost.

"Well then... choose... NOW":man after 3 hours of me deciding.

"But it ain't exactly an easy decision" :me

"I don't care, that's your problem, not mine" :man with a even bigger smile.

"Well, I choose..." :me hesitating greatly.

"This time today, the real world can't be put on pause forever you know" :man

"Vanessa!" :me closing my eyes. I didn't know what was going to happen to my mum and looked away so I didn't have to watch.

"Bold choice... Well if that's what you want... so be it..." :man

There was a flash of light and I woke up coughing. I opened my eyes and there was a crowd of doctors and nurses around my bed.

"We have life" :a doctor as everyone started to clap.

"Where's my mum?" :me wondering if that had just been real.

"Err Rialle theres a call for you..." :A nurse who had just walked in.

"Oh god... Yes" :me answering it.

"Wise choice..." :man from my dream.

"You! what have you done? where is my mum?!" :me

"Well, you're about to find out... This phone will ring again." :man hanging up,

"Finished?" :nurse asking for the phone

"No, not yet." :me staring at the phone waiting for it to ring. Two minutes later it rang.

"Hello..." :me

"Rialle!!" :mum screaming down the phone.

"MUM!! where are you? Are you ok?!" :me panicking. I was feeling a sense of regret.

"No I don't know where I am" :mum nearly in tears.

"Mum it'll be ok. Just stay away from a man in a long black coat and has a small hat on which covers his eyes." :me. I held the phone there waiting for a reply, but the oly thing I got was the tone of a phone which had been hung up on.

"MUM" :me screaming. I pulled the phone away from my ear and stared at it. I put the phone down expecting the worst.

"Rialle!! You're awake!" :Josh running in and hugging me. all the doctors and nurses had now left. I hugged him back as though I had never hugged him before. I was so happy he hadn't been there in my dream.

"What did you think...? that you could get rid of me that easily?" :me smiling sarcastically.

"No of course not!" :josh laughing too.

"I missed you Rialle! and don't ever do that to me again!" :Josh

"do what?" :me looking confused.

"You just leant back in my arms and passed out. You were freezing too, worse than your hands on a cold day at school!" :Josh laughing as he was trying to explain. as he did he pulled so many 'disgusting' looks.

"Look, I don't care as long as you're here now! and trust me I don't want to ever do that again" :me hugging him again.

"I love you Rialle, you do know that don't you?" :Josh now with his serious face.

"yes I do and I love you too like I've never loved anyone before" :me looking directly into his eyes so he knew I wasn't lying. I leant in closer to his face and kissed him properly.

The kiss lasted for ages... thats what it felt like though. I knew that life was worth living just for that moment.

I woke up the next day still in hospital. Josh had climbed onto the bed at the side of me. He had his arm around my waist and was sleeping kinda with a smile. I sat up trying not to wake him. I looked at him sleep and sarted to stroke his hair.

"Josh" :me whispering half wanting him to get up but half wanting him to stay there.

"What?" :Josh not happy he had been woken.

"I think you need to go home for some proper sleep. Don't you?" :Me elbowing him.

"Rialle! stop it!" :Josh laughing. He was laughing that hard he rolled off the bed.

"Ha that's what you get for not getting up!" :me laughing.

"...ouch! don't laugh... it's not funny" :josh getting up and poking me.

"For who you or me?" :me

Everyone came piling in through the door.

"Hey Rialle!" :Brendon jumping on the bed.

"We thought you were a gona yesterday" :Jon laughing to show he was joking.

"oh... thanks" :me

"Nah we didn't really. Jon's just winding you up!" :Spencer punching Jon playfully on the arm.

"Hey Rialle I got you a mocha by the way" :Robyn holding a cup out.

"I don't like it... and you know that robyn..." :me looking confused at her.

"oh well more for me..." :Robyn with a huge grin on her face.

"Err... I don't think so Robyn. You've had enough and you're banned from the stuff" :hayley nicking the cup from her hand.

"Robyn!!" :me throwing a disgusted look.

"What... it's so tasty... and EXCUSE ME!! if I'm not allowed any neither are you" :Robyn trying to steal it from Hayley before she had a drink.

"Robyn!! i think you've had enough" :Hayley putting it out of her reach.

"You've had the same as me!!" :Robyn trying to stretch.

"Enough!! bloody hell you two it's mocha!!" :me

"... well there's you point... it's mocha!" :Robyn. Spence walked out and saw Chloe on the way.

"I wouldn't go in there with that" :Spencer

"Why not?" :Chloe looking down at her mocha.

"Hayley won't let Robyn have any and Robyn won't be a happy chappy if she sees you have a cup." Spencer walking off laughing. Robyn had already noticed Chloe and was looking directly at her.

"CHLOE GET HERE!!" :Robyn getting up and chasing her.

"sh*t!! NO Robyn you can't have it!" :Chloe running off down the corridor.

2 Hours later everyone was in the room and calm. Robyn was starting to get hyper because she had nicked half of Chloe's mocha. Hayley had drank all of Robyn's before she had got back.

"Hey people can I talk to Robyn on her own please?" :me looking around at everyone.

"err yea..." :Everyone getting up and leaving.

"Are you o.k.?" :Josh

"Yea just need to talk to Robyn bout something, call you back in a minute." :me kissing him before he left. Everyone had left and Robyn sat closer to me on the bed.

"What is it then?" :Robyn

"Well... do you know where Eddy is?" :me finding it hard to say.

"no... why? please don't tell me I'm right in what I'm thinking" :robyn looking at me oddly.

"Why... what are you thinking?" :me

"Don't start the guessing game you know what I'm thinking rialle... you like him don't you?" :Robyn

"... no ..." :me trying not to look at her.

"Omg RIALLE!! you can't like him... especially after what he did at the party... he's the reason you're in hospital!" :Robyn nearly screaming.

"SHHH!!!!! Robyn I thought I could trust you!" :me putting my hand on her mouth before anyone noticed outside.

"you can trust me Rialle, you know you can but this is unbelieable! you've got to be joking!!" :Robyn trying to get her head round it.

"look I don't know why I like him either... but after what he did... I mean gambling a serious friendship is worth something" :me looking sternly at her. She give me a blank o.m.f.g look.

"Rialle, I just can't believe I'm hearing this. Especially not after what's just happened!" :Robyn

"Look, you can't help who you fall in love with... you should know about that! I mean Ryan Ross, not that there's anything wrong with that" :me

"But at least Ryan Ross didn't try and destroy my relationship" :Robyn

"Well, you've got me there. I don't even know why i like him... we have been round each other alot though lately" :me

"Because you've been with Josh aswell! how could you do this to him!? He was with you all night Rialle! if that's nothing then what eddy's done should be on the other end of the scale..." :Robyn

"But what should I do?" :me

"Nothing!! you are going to stay with Josh or else you'll lose me. I will not stand by and let you hurt him" :Robyn

"Robyn!..." :me shocked at what she'd said.

"Rialle!... How can you honestly think that wouldn't hurt him! you know how much he damn well loves you!!" :Robyn practically screaming.

Chapter 36

"Why won't anyone help me?!" :Josh trying to shout as loud as he could. He was drained of energy so much his voice didn't get as loud as he wanted. He watched Rialle's face as he drained of life.

"Rialle!! Rialle!! I cant lose you... not now... not ever!!" :Josh. He tried to reach the emergency cable without moving rialle. His hand was just out of reach. He tried to move up the bed but Rialle was in the way.

"Rialle please! don't go... please don't go..." :Josh crying so hard.

I woke up but I weren't in my body. It was as though I wasn't connected at all. I sat up and saw my body.

"Josh! Josh what are you doing I'm right here?" :Me trying to comfort him. I put my hand on his shoulder but it sank right through.

"Josh...?":me pulling my hand away. Then there was a woman at the side of the room staring right at me.

"Rialle...":she said in a soft calming voice.

"Who... who are you?" :me fascinated with how she was there, but not. I knew josh couldn't see her.

"Angel of death..." :A.o.D still in a soft voice. She held out her hand for me to hold but I wasn't too sure of what to do.

"No, you can't be i'm only 14! it can't be my time to go! You can't do this to me!! I have a great boyfriend and loads of friends... my life is just turning out right and you're trying to take me away from it all!! well, well I won't have it!!! I'm staying here with Josh!!" :Me screaming. I flung my arms around Josh but fell right through him.

"what and live your life like that?" :A.o.D

"well, we can come to some arrangements. I just want to stay near him. PLEASE" :Me begging on the floor.

"Look Rialle. When it's your time to go, you have to go" :A.o.D

"But... you can't!" :me looking up at josh who still had hold of me.

"Well you've made your choice I see, but you can never go back in your body" :Ao.D walking off through a wall.

Josh still had hold of Rialle's body, crying. Robyn and Chloe walked past the window of Rialle's room.

"RIALLE!!" :Robyn dropping her mocha and running in.

"What's happened?!": Chloe running in, but saving her mocha!! XD

"I've... i've lost her" :Josh crying and burying his face in Rialle.

"What do you mean... lost her she's right there?" :Chloe sipping her mocha and not clicking what-so-ever.

"Rialle please wake up! No she can't do this to us... how dare she!! I'm not going through french As on my own hell no!!" :Robyn shaking me.

"I'll go and get some help" :Chloe putting her mocha on the side table.

"She'll be alright... won't she?" :Josh looking to Robyn for comfort.

"yea... yea she wil be..." :Robyn putting her hand on his shoulder for reassurance. The nurses/doctors came in and started running around the bed like loonies. Josh and Robyn were pushed out of the room faster than they could blink. Josh walked back up to the window and cried. all they could do was watch.

As I looked around the room a dark man appeared from the far corner of the room. Doctors came rushing in from everywhere running round my body, blocking the view of the man. He had a lon black coat on with a black top hat. His hat was pulled down covering his face down to half across his nose. I began to walk towards hm hoping he was nice and could help me.

"Errr... excuse me sir?" :Me being cautious constantly.

"yes... my dear...." :man

"can you help me?" :me

"well, that all depends... on will you help me first?" :man

"Yea... sure" :me still unsure of what to do.

"Great..." :man as he lifted his his head so i could see partly his face. He had a huge chesire cat grin on his face.

There was a flash of light as we disappeared from the hospital room.

"Hey.. you said you could help me!! What are we doing here?" :Me looking round. We were in a pub, not one I knew. I looked around to find my mum and my younger sister. I had never seen her before in real life but seen pictures so I recognised her.

"In order for you to return to your body you must choose..." :man pointing at one. They were not both hung up on a wall,

"What do you mean choose one? what will happen to the one I don't choose?" ;me panicking and doubted myself of what I had put myself in.

"Well, the one you choose will sacrifice their life for yours" :man smiling and taking his coat off. He looked like he had done this a thousand times before and knew it was going to be a long while before any decision was going to be made.

"What!! you can't do that!" :me screaming at him.

"Well, you want to live don't you?" :man

"Yes... but" :me

"Well, this is the only way you can save yourself. Choose one or choose yourself" :man

"But I can't... that's both my mum and my sister." :me

"Yes... I know. One you know and truly love and the other you've always wanted to know and truly loved still..." :man :"It's your choice".

I know this chapter is a bit unrealistic... but i thought it was a good idea to do =] hope you still like...

chapter 35

"Yea, I've never thought of it like that before..." :Hayley

"See, I told you!" :Me chuckling quietly. Brendon and Ryan came in with flowers.

"Glad to see you;re alright Rialle" :Brendon kissing me on the cheek and placing the flowers next to me.

"Aww thanks you guys! you didnt have to you know!" :Me

"We know but you're like part of the crew now" :Ryan throwing me a cheesey grin.

"Part of the 'crew'?" :Me throwing him a confused look but finding it funny at the same time.

"Yea... and whats wrong with the crew?" :Ryan giving me a 'how dare you' look.

5 minutes later there was a quiet knock on the door.

"errr... hi rialle." :Josh peering round the door.

"Josh!!" :Me really loudly sitting bolt up. I looked around at everyone to signal 'get lost'.

"Well, I know where I'm not wanted." :Ryan getting up and pulling down his top.

"What, where are you going?": Brendon looking confused.

"Come on Brendon..." :Ryan trying to show him but Brendon wasn't gettin any hints.

"... not getting ya..." :Brendon still looking confused.

"BRENDON, get out!!" :Me getting fed up and shouting at him.

"Ooooooooo, now I get ya" :Brendon smiling and moving.

"Cya later Rialle...":Hayley being pushed out of the door by Ryan.

"Chloe... you too" :Me poking her. She had almost fallen asleep.

"huh... wat? where is everyone?" :Chloe getting up. she headed for the door but missed and bumped into the wall. Josh was stood at the side of her and chuckled.

"so Josh... what brings you here?" :me patting a space next to me.

"you do, silly" :Josh sitting next to me. I flung myself onto him hugging him tightly.

"I am so sorry Josh, please forgive me, and you have to believe me I would never do anything like that to you I swear. please you have to believe me" :me speaking really fast and trying hard not to cry.

"Rialle, I believe you..." :Josh bring strangled more by me.

"... you do?" :Me sniffling. i had given up on holding back the tears.

"eddy told me everything and admitted it was him. It was while he told me you were in here." :Josh smiling back.

"I am so thankful!" :Me

"So am I" :Josh pulling me closer to him and hugging me. I squeezed him as much as I could. I pulled back and looked at my arm.

"what's the matter?" :Josh looking at my face.

"nothing... my arm hurts...":me stopping what I was saying. I leane back in josh's arms. My eyes rolled back into my head and I felt a shock of ice cold through my body.

"Rialle... Rialle talk to me!!" :Josh trying to wake me up.

"josh..." :me slurring my words.

"NURSE!!" :josh shouting to the door. No one heard. Josh turned to face me, tears pouring down his face.

"I'm losing her... I'm losi..." :josh going quieter with the loss of energy.
